Here in Minnesota they have a saying "Minnesota Nice". Even though I find this saying quite true (people here are very nice), the phrase they should use more often should be "Minnesota ICE"!! It has been snowing quite heavily the last 2 days and as a result we are "snowed in". As you can see, there is about a 2 foot wall of snow blocking our cars and a mini mountain outside our front window. Church was canceled today!! That is a first for us. The one way that this is better than our winters in NY....the 2-car garage. It is amazing how much better life is with that nice luxury (necessity).

Welcome to the Midwest! Not a bad start to the winter when we get the fifth largest snowstorm in recorded weather history. If you don't have a snowblower yet, you might want to consider it as a Christmas gift to each other.
